LIBRARIES

NEW FERRY LIBRARY

New Ferry Library is located within the grounds of Grove Street School.  Although the books and staff are provided by Wirral Borough Council, the building itself is owned by and maintained by the school.

Despite its small size when compared to others, the library has a good collection of childrens books.  The school is very active in encouraging parents to enrol their children with the library so that they can further develop their reading skills outside of school time. We also have a BOOKSTART scheme, which parents can register their children with from birth to age 12, with packs of free books available.

Occasionally, we hold craft making events, and various competitions for colouring and reading.

There is also a collection of adult fiction and non-fiction.

Local residents are invited to come to the library to browse through the books on offer.

We would also welcome gift donations of good quality books.

Photocopying facilities are also available.

The library may have been saved from the Strategic Asset Review axe, but we need new borrowers to ensure our survival in the future.  Please come along and see what we have to offer.

How to find us:

We are based inside the grounds of Grove Street school.  Enter the school grounds through the small gate opposite the end of Village Hall.  We are in the small single-storey building to the left, between the Village Hall and the school.  The door of the library faces the school car park.

Grove Street car park, right beside the library, is free.

BEBINGTON CENTRAL LIBRARY
