Borough Council has published a questionnaire asking New Ferry
residents what they think about the Village Hall.
remember the Council's "Strategic Asset Transfer" programme from 2009
which met fierce opposition from residents who did not want to see
libraries closed. The proposal to close some libraries and move
others was eventually abandoned.
strategic plan also included proposals to transfer other buildings and
facilities to community organisations. These proposals are still
being discussed. Although nothing has yet
been agreed, New Ferry Village Hall is one of the facilities being
questionnaire has been designed to find out what you think about the
Village Hall, what events currently take place inside it and what you
think it should be providing.

closing date for consultation is 26th November 2010, so please
fill it in as soon as possible to be in with a chance of winning.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
committee which runs New Ferry Village Hall will be holding its Annual
General Meeting on Tuesday 30th November 2010 from 7.15pm.
Nomination for members should be received at the Village Hall on
Longfellow Drive by 23rd November 2010.
