PORT SUNLIGHT RIVER PARK HERITAGE CENTRE TO OPEN


18 March 2019

Port Sunlight River Park's new £450,000 Heritage Lottery funded Heritage Centre is to be opened on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 from 1pm to 3.30pm.  The event will be hosted by project partners Big Heritage, the Land Trust and charity Autism Together, which manages the park on behalf of The Land Trust, on what will also be World Autism Awareness Day.

The event will feature family friendly activities and stalls hosted by Big Heritage and Autism Together - open from 1pm.  At 2pm there will be an official opening of the Centre by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral Cllr Geoffrey Watt and Mrs Anne Watt.

Everyone is welcome to come along, but in order to know numbers of people visiting the event, the organisers would appreciate if you could please let them know by emailing VickyWilliams@thelandtrust.org.uk  by Friday 22nd March if you are able to attend.

Please note: The Heritage Centre is at Mersey View Picnic area, 10 minutes’ walk from Dock Road North car park on a well surfaced path.
Disabled parking is available at Mersey View car park for those who may find this walk difficult. Places need to be booked in advance with the name, vehicle registration number, type of vehicle (car, minibus or people carrier) and a mobile contact number for the day. Each place will be allocated on a plan of the site.

Drivers will receive an acknowledgement of their booking and guidelines for the day.

The Site address: Port Sunlight River Park, Dock Road North, off Bolton Road East, Port Sunlight, CH62 4TQ (Please note there is NO access from Dock Road South)

Please advise on your acceptance email if you will require allocated disabled parking and we will coordinate this for you.
